The Salvation Army selects I-ology® for Internet Strategy
Second project I-ology and The Salvation Army partner on for increased communications and sponsorships
SCOTTSDALE, AZ–June 3, 2003–-I-ology and The Salvation Army announced today the launch of their Internet strategy, which began last year with the implementation of the Christmas Angels site designed by I-ology. This is the larger Internet strategy for The Salvation Army, which offers assistance 365 days a year to the Arizona community. I-ology leveraged The Salvation Army´s Web investment for improved communications, education and sponsorship.
The Salvation Army engaged I-ology to create a strategy for reaching supporters and communicating with corporations, volunteers and those needing support. Contributions from the community have made it possible to use technology for better serving volunteers, managing donations, promoting corporate sponsorships, delivering news and awareness around special events. Our recent disaster, the Rodeo/Chedeski Fire, impacted tens of thousands of people in the Northeastern part of our state. The Salvation Army was there even after the fire destroyed homes and businesses along with the many acres of forest helping with shelter, financial assistance, reconstruction and much more. Today the Salvation Army is still providing emergency assistance to this community.
By leveraging the Internet, I-ology has provided a cost-effective means to reach a much broader audience for support whether it´s year round or holiday volunteers or the management of donations and contributions. The new site gives visitors the ability to sign up for newsletters to learn about special events and activities or to just stay informed of the massive tasks undertaken by this special organization.
"The Salvation Army is committed to providing services to those who are in need. It´s important to our organization that we continually make the community aware of the types of services that are available to them, informing them as to how their dollars are being used, and offering volunteer and/or donation opportunities that will be the most convenient. We are confident that through I-ology´s help, The Salvation Army will continue to be effective in these ways," says The Salvation Army´s Development Director, Sandi Gabel.
