Business Development Manager

Job Position Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for achieving annual sales targets through direct selling, networking & involvement in the business community. Furthermore, this individual is responsible for maintaining client satisfaction via the development of strong relationships with clients and partners.

Position Responsibilities

Generate Sales from New Accounts

  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual quotas.
  • Achieve expert level knowledge about each of your prospects and their respective businesses.
  • Execute sales activity through creative and proactive sales efforts.
  • Establish strong relationships in the business community via networking.
  • Responsible for adhering to all sales policies, processes, structure and tactical initiatives while meeting sales objectives.
  • Meet all required team activity objectives and sales plan structure goals.
  • Create contracts, work orders, and proposals, as needed.
  • Educate yourself regularly on target customers.
  • Review your target accounts with the management team regularly and suggest creative ways to drive sales.
  • Maintain a professional awareness of all existing I-ology service lines, including current technologies and online marketing tactics.

Build Relationships with I-ology prospects and within the Arizona business community

  • Create regular contact with your prospects and target accounts.
  • Achieve expert level knowledge about each of your accounts and their respective businesses.
  • Maintain awareness of market conditions.
  • Establish strong relationships with appropriate internal and external personnel.

Generate accurate and timely sales reports, RFP responses and other required sales documentation

  • Create all relevant proposals and related documents with 100% accuracy.
  • Accurately manage and maintain all prospect information in our CRM tool.
  • Timely and accurately respond to RFP’s and incoming leads.
  • Accurately maintain sales forecasts and sales documentation.

Skillset

Required sales skills and sales management:

  • Experience selling professional services or consulting services
  • Effective presentation skills to CxO level / Management
  • Strong prospecting skills
  • Strategic partner networking
  • Business development networking
  • Ability to qualify appropriate customers
  • Consultative Selling
  • Ability to close business
  • Provide strategic direction for sales activities
  • B2B sales experience a must

Required Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio and Outlook.
  • General concept knowledge of basic Internet technologies such as HTML, database functionality and Web site usability.
  • Advanced knowledge in Interactive Design, Development and Strategy preferred.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Agency experience preferred
  • Professional services sales experience a must
  • Four-year college degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years documented sales experience
  • Two years + of Internet industry experience preferred
  • Experience working in a fast paced multi-client environment
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
